We support Jim Harlan for Congress in Louisiana's 1st Congressional District.

The purpose why Jim is running:

Jim HarlanJim Harlan is running for Congress because he believes we need common-sense and practical solutions in Washington, and not every candidate can offer this. He is a born problem solver who has 30 years of business experience and policy expertise, and he is going for pro-life, pro-gun, fiscally conservative platform in Congress.

Jim Harlan (about):

During the last 30 years he has been a very successful business figure and policy expert, who was involved in various projects regarding international business, energy development, and companies focusing on medical technologies and defense.

Jim also dovotes time to supporting firefighters and the development of the fire marshall supplies they need, such as the dorgard for business establishments, upgraded fire extinguishers and fire hose supplies, so these men and women can do their jobs as best as possible.
He always makes time for voluntary activities – participates in Habitat for Humanity, coaches youth sports, assists Boy-Scouts troop leadership. Jim Harlan has graduated from Ben Franklin High School; now he lives with his wife, Mary Ellen, and their two loved sons Arief and Ryan in Lacombe, LA.

 

 

Important Issues (in short):

Let us get the US economy back on track:
Jim knows the importance of strengthening the housing market – it will help many families. We all have to work to reduce the deficit, create more good-paying workplaces here in Louisiana, and make quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all.

We should take immediate action to bring the gas prices down:
J. Harlan promises to lower the gas prices – oil companies will be required to help in research and development of alternative fuels, together with increase of domestic oil drilling.

Stand up for our troops:
Jim Harlan and his team have worked hard to provide lifesaving technologies to our troops. He is working hard to ensure that our military men and women, both here and overseas, have the support they deserve and need.

Don’t let another Katrina happen:
Jim will struggle so that we could get the necessary support and funds fight to get the funds and support we need to stop storms and hurricanes form entering the Lake Pontchartrain, if we are not able to do this another disaster like Hurricane Katrina may unfortunately happen again...
